We're Working to Make Our Content Accessibly, Intersectional, & Inclusive--Join Us!

As an intersectional-disability led & primarily disability focused nonprofit for many years, 10 Minutes A Day understands that even when those of us in our community do our best with our limited spoons, accessibility & inclusion are always works in progress. This is where you can help!

How to Make Sure Everyone Is Included:

  • Give Us Feedback on What We Can Do to Be More Accessible & Inclusive: Keep in mind that we're disabled chronic pain patients with other issues that make it hard, despite our best efforts, to do all of the things, so please give us some grace, but SPEAK UP! You can use the contact form or email: info@10MinutesADay.org & let us    know what else we can do to make sure that we include & provide accommodations for as many people as possible!
  • Let Us Know If You or Someone You Know Wants to Participate or Volunteer to Be a Lead: Both 10 Minutes A Day & DIYabled are small nonprofits, though we're fortunate enough to partner with many others, both groups & individuals, including large organizations & people with big platforms. Let us know if you have a skill you'd like to contribute, & of course, know that on our end, we understand that everyone has limited spoons & will only ask what you can do without harming your health or risking not being able to take care of a necessity. We're always looking for: helpers to build our websites up/search optimization & amplification, help with social media, adding accessibility features to our pages, artists, people who are tech savvy & can help with larger Zooms, ASL interpreters, you name it! If you have a talent you'd like to contribute (or know someone who does), you will get credit for your help, & you'll be  doing marginalized communities a big service.
  • Help Generate Traffic & Increase Participation in Our ActivitiesEvery time you perform one or more of our calls to action, you're making a difference, as many hands make light work, & especially right now, our community needs to unite & fight together against the cruel & targeted behavior towards us by the GOP.
  • Donate, Even a Little Bit, if you Can--If Not, No Worries, But Ask People in Your Community & Life to Help Out: We operate on shoestring budgets but have higher costs than organizations that don't prioritize accessibility & inclusion. For example, we hosted 1 of the only virtual #HandsOff events on 4/5/25, which was focused on the disability community, as most folks were leaving us out of the equation. We have an accessibility fund, which is earmarked for things like: having a Zoom account that includes accessibility features, providing, captions, having ASL interpreters, having people contribute art, planing events with inclusion in mind, making sure we have people to provide interactive tech & chat support, so that everyone can participate, ensuring that anyone who wants to attend our events can (so no event caps if registration indicates we need to spend more to accommodate folks), & more. Accommodations cost money, or, alternatively, require disabled people like us--who already are much more likely to live in poverty--to be unpaid for the skill & countless time & passion we put into our work, for activities to be inaccessible because we can't afford to pay people as much as we'd like, or for events not to occur at all, as those of us with very few spoons have the least energy & ability to do everything alone. Even a small amount helps make accessible, regular activities to lift up marginalized folks much more within the realm of possibility, especially when our loved ones/friends/other members of our community help as they can. If you can't donate, don't feel bad, but maybe someone you know can, or if not, please amplify our accessibility fund info & resources on social medial, via email, or however you're best able to reach people whose help we need to fight back effectively! • Don't Give Up: The disability community is the largest national & global minority, &  disability intersects with every other demographic & marginalized community. Everyone is one accident or illness away from being disabled, & if society is judged by how it treats the its most vulnerable, then they must do better, & eventually, fascist & cruel governments will come for everyone.
  • Don't Be Hard on Yourself or Feel You're Not Enough: YOU ARE! No one chooses to be disabled or a member of another disenfranchised community. No one chooses to have fewer spoons than they want or even need. Your voice matters, & you're valid because you're you. Disability cannot erase the beautiful person you were & still are.
  • Reach Out if You Need Something: We're all in this together! We're here for each other.
